So we managed to spring free tickets to the ‘Caps’ hockey game tonight… It seems that every time I’ve gone, the illustrious Caps performance has been lack lustre to put it mildly. Back in the gold old Warwickshire days there was the old joke that the Birmingham City Football Club (soccer for those of us not used to the idea of round balls) was going to rename itself “Birmingham City Nil” to save time on the sports round-up. Seems the Caps have the same trait, but we love them all the same because they are “our” team!
Now for the bad news, we lost to the Florida Panthers!!! Florida, a state known for the large amounts of snow and ice that create the perfect conditions for breeding a show stopping Hockey team. Ah well, it was a good excuse for a night out with beer and friends, made all the more special as it is a ’school night’ and work looms eternal tomorrow!
