Release BBC correspondent Alan Johnston

The BBC correspondent Alan Johnston has started his second month in captivity after being kidnapped as he drove home from his office in Gaza. He is the 14th victim in a series of kidnappings of foreign journalists of different nationalities since 2005. However, he has been held much longer than the others and this raises serious questions about the safety of journalists in the Gaza Strip.

Sign the BBC supported petition to demand his release and read the BBC Director General’s Statement.

Read more about the case on Reporters Sans Frontieres.

Read the Guardian Unlimited article which reports that the BBC [have been] assured of Johnston’s safety.
