Huntley Meadows, Virginia

The sun was shining on Saturday, and so we decided to put the top down on the car and take a drive to Huntley Meadows.  The wetlands park is built on the site of what was originally to be the Untied States premier airport during the airship age, replaced by a secretive government testing facility, and then turned into a park over 20 years ago.  It was lovely to escape the bustle of the daily grind and to relax with the sounds of nature all around us.
